Katie and Anthony had a lovely wedding at the Desert Botanical Gardens.  They were a referral from Julie and Dan (a past wedding that will be coming to the blog soon!).  Julie and Dan actually had a big hand in the music for Katie and Anthony’s wedding.  We were lucky because it had been pretty warm in AZ but cooled down the day of the wedding with some cloud cover so the out of town guests were able to stay comfortable.  I love when I have lots of time for couple photos, and we did!  We started off shooting at their loft in Phoenix before moving to the Botanical Gardens for photos.  They were incredibly natural in front of the camera and I think it is easy to see how crazy they are about each other!  Here are some of my favorite shots.  I love the shot of Anthony getting ready by Josh Snyder.

I realized that I am super behind on blogging, but what else is new??  I decided that the best course of action to remedy this is to blog one past event along with one new event until they are all new!  So I will be double-blogging for awhile!  Secondly, I think I am going to start using the larger images again as opposed to the gallery view as I used on my past couple of posts.  If anyone out there prefers it to go the other way, please just let me know.

Now to the good stuff! To start, I have a wonderful wedding to share.  I met Nick and Andrea through my friend Erica (the Maid of Honor)and was so happy when they decided to hire me as their photographer.  They had the ceremony and reception at Andrea’s parents house in Tempe.  They completely transformed their block into one of the most beautiful wedding locations!  Everyone was so sweet and I had a great time.  Its always nice having such a pretty bride to photograph, too!

Lizzy and David had one of my favorite weddings this past year.  Which is saying a lot, because I get to go to some pretty incredible weddings!  Lizzy grew up riding horses and so it just made sense for them to have their wedding at a close family friend’s ranch, which was also the home of her horse Chance.  You can see him in one of the photos below!  Lizzy and David are best friends and their easy going personalities set the tone for a fun and intimate wedding.  They had some great vendors involved in the wedding which always makes me happy!  Here they are….

Flowers:  Jane Doyle of Le Fleur Boutique

Cake:  Julia Baker Confections

Rentals & Lighting:Classic Party Rentals

Landscape Design: Pullen Lawn Concepts

Band: The Groove Merchants

Catering: Heidi’s Events & Catering – They did food stations, which turned out amazing.

Day of Coordinator: Traci Chandler of Oh Sugar Events

Video:  My brother, Joey Z!  You can see the video on his vimeo site here. (make sure you turn your volume up, and if your internet connection is slow, press play then pause for it to load completely.)

Also, Thanks to Josh Snyder for 2nd shooting.

Now, here are a sampling of my favorite shots.  You can see their full slideshow here.  You may have already seeing some of their images that are featured in Arizona Weddings Magazine.  These two were so wonderful to work with, thanks you guys!!

One of the things I love about the summer is that I get to travel to photograph destination weddings.  Amber and Larry honored me by having me photograph their wedding at the gorgeous Bel-Aire Bay Club this year.  Amber has this effortless beauty which is so much fun to shoot.  The wedding took place on a beautiful day surrounded by lots of love.

As you can see from my post below, I never blogged Kristen and Vince’s beautiful wedding at the Fairmont Princess in Scottsdale.  The just had their baby girl Harper Rose!  I am so excited to meet her and take photos.  🙂  But for now, I thought I would rewind back to their wedding day and share some wedding photos with you.  They did a wonderful job styling the wedding from the cool cupcakes to the fun ‘petal toss’ at the end of the evening.  Enjoy!

I shot Kristen and Vince’s wedding last year, and was so excited when they came to me asking about maternity photos! I’m not sure if I ever blogged their wedding since they were featured on a different blog…if not, that will be my next post. Their baby girl’s name is going to be Harper Rose which I find adorable. And speaking of adorable, Kristen and Vince were just glowing. We shot at their new home and I love how they decorated HR’s room! They are such a fun couple and we had a good time just goofing around.  Kristen had the idea to feed the baby food to Vince and their puppy Bubba (who wore a tux in their wedding!) so that was pretty funny.  So happy for them. 🙂

These two need to quit their jobs so they can be in front of the camera all day…seriously, what a beautiful couple!  This engagement session was shot over the summer when I was in Santa Barbara for Chris and Gina’s wedding. Santa Barbara is one of my favorite places, and we got to go to some of my favorite locations in town to shoot including the great Luna Cafe in Summerland. Their wedding was absolutely amazing–and that blog is coming soon, I promise! Lizzy and Dave have such a natural chemistry…there is an ease about these two that made it so easy to photograph them, and their playful personalities didn’t hurt either! It has been a pure joy to meet and work with Lizzy and Dave, Enjoy!
